Description
The polypropylene prostheses for the repair and reinforcement of the abdominal wall and for the treatment of incisional hernias, are meshes in polypropylene tissue, coupled with a transparent polymeric film of polypropylene of different shape and size, implantable.
These prosthesis can be used for the reconstruction of the abdominal wall and for the treatment of defects caused by hernias or incisional hernias
The mesh remains soft and pliable, and normal wound healing is not noticeably impaired. The material is neither absorbed nor is it subject to degradation or weakening by the action of tissue enzymes.
2P-CMC ClearMesh Composite is a transparent, lightweight, ultra-thin, non absorbable, polypropylene, composite prosthesis. The composite prosthesis is obtained through the combination of a layer of polypropylene monofilament mesh and a layer of transparent film, which is non absorbable, to minimize adhesions and maximize visibility.
The transparency of the polypropylene film enables viewing of blood vessels, nerves and underlying tissues during placement of the prosthesis. The polypropylene mesh and the polypropylene film are sewn together.
