Description
Used For Endoscopic Excision Of Polyps Using Monopolar Electrosurgical Unit And Retrieval Of Foreign Bodies From G.I. Tract. It is used along with electro-surgery,for cutting polyps with high-frequency current in digestive tract in the combined use with endoscopes. A polypectomy snare is a wire loop device used during colonoscopy designed to slip over a polyp and, on closure, results in cutting the polyp off at its stalk. Conventional snare polypectomy uses cautery, a hot wire with electrical current that cauterizes the tissue while removing the polyp. Snare polypectomy is performed in a similar fashion, whether colonic, esophageal, gastric, or small bowel lesions are removed.
